Tuesday, August 11, 2020

Dear Dancers & Movers,

We are now OPEN for solo rehearsals, private lessons, and teaching online classes!

Need some alone time? Want to move in an unobstructed space? Want to take or teach online classes? Need a space to teach private lessons? We can help. Email us to learn more about our booking and safety procedrues!

Group classes remain on hiatus for the safety of our community, which is our first priority. Additionally, we can legally have only a few people in the space due to social distancing needs.

But this doesn't mean we need to stop moving. Book some time at Bright Star!

All Classes & Events on Hiatus Until Further Notice

Tuesday, April 20, 2020

Dear Dancers & Movers,

All in-person classes and events are on hiatus as we await the time when it will be safe to dance together again.

However, some of our teachers are offering online classes, shows, and private lessons!

Visit our Classes and Events pages for the latest offerings. Sign up below to join our email newsletter.

Let's work together to stay home and keep our community safe. Much love to everyone from all of us at Bright Star World Dance!

Temporarily Closing for Health & Safety

Saturday, March 14, 2020

Dear Dancers & Movers,

In the interest of the safety of our community, we have made the decision to close Bright Star to group classes for three weeks.

From now through April 5, we will be open only for private lessons and groups of 6 (total) or fewer.

This allows everyone to keep a distance, wash hands thoroughly, and stay safe and healthy.

We can sanitize and clean as much as possible, and while we trust our community members to take the necessary precautions, we worry about folks in the studio becoming vectors when we are in close proximity.

The possible risk of asymptomatic carriers of the virus inadvertently transmitting it to more vulnerable members of our extended community is of great concern. For example, we know that people with lung conditions and the elderly are particularly at risk.

We owe it to each other to keep them as safe as possible.

Your Classes

All of our teachers are planning to return to the regular schedule when our hiatus is over.

Please contact each teacher re. their policies on class cards or class sessions.

In the meantime, most are teaching private lessons in the studio and/or via Skype.

Reach out, and keep dance in your life!

Keep Moving!

Exercise is key to a strong immune system. Keep moving as much as you can!

You can dance at home, and you can go for walks or hikes or bike rides in our beautiful region. Yay, warmer weather!

AND.... Bright Star teachers are going to help you with this by releasing some FREE short video classes to help keep our community together during this social distancing.

Stay tuned! We'll be sharing the links over the next couple of weeks, just as soon as we can get the material out to you all.

Keep in Touch!

Please reach out to us with any questions. Remember:

1. This is necessary. We need to act now to prevent this from spreading further and the recovery taking longer.

2. This is temporary. We cannot wait to resume our classes with you!

We wish you all the best during this trying time. We'll dance together again soon.

Sincerely,

Rosa & Jan
